This Privacy Policy explains what information Reckoning Desktop (the "App") handles when you use it, and how it is used. The App is provided by Dead Reckoning ("we", "us"). By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Summary

Reckoning Desktop is a local, offline-first desktop tool. It runs on your device, keeps your data on your device, and does not send your data to us. The only external network calls the App makes are to TikTok's official APIs (to publish the content you choose) and to sources from which you choose to download footage.

2. Information the App handles

The App does not collect analytics or telemetry about you, and does not use advertising identifiers.

3. How information is used

To connect to your TikTok account and publish the clips you ask it to publish.
To let you manage your clips, captions and settings locally.
To maintain your session so you don't have to log in repeatedly.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. When you publish, the App sends the relevant content and metadata to TikTok solely to perform the action you requested, subject to TikTok's own privacy policy and terms. If you direct the App to download footage from another site, that site may see a request from your device as normal for any web download.

5. Data storage and security

Your content and authorisation tokens are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the security of your device. You can remove the stored data at any time (see below).

6. Retention and deletion

Disconnect: revoking the App's access in your TikTok account settings stops any further publishing.
Delete local data: removing the App and its local data folder deletes stored tokens and clips from your device.
Requests: because we do not hold your data on our servers, there is normally nothing for us to delete on a request; if you have any question, contact us at eriknyarko@gmail.com.

7. Children

The App is not intended for children and you must meet TikTok's minimum age requirement for your region. We do not knowingly process data from children.

8. International transfers

We do not transfer your data internationally, because we do not receive it. Content you publish is handled by TikTok under its own policies, which may involve international processing.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date.
